Описание
Tin Oxide, also known as Stannic Oxide, is an inorganic compound with the formula SnO2. The mineral form of SnO2 is called cassiterite, and this is the main ore of tin. With many other names, this oxide of tin is an important material in tin chemistry. It is a colorless, diamagnetic, amphoteric solid.
– Glazes and colored ceramics: Tin Oxide is often used as an important coloring agent in the preparation of glazes. By adjusting the content of SnO2, different color effects can be obtained. For example white, yellow, or pink. In the production of colored ceramics, SnO2 is often used to prepare glazes of different shades and effects.
– Wear-resistant coating: Tin(II) Oxide can be used to prepare wear-resistant coatings to increase the surface hardness and wear resistance of ceramic products. These coatings are commonly applied to products such as ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, and porcelain to make them more durable and increase their lifespan.
– Ceramic sintering aid: For example, SnO2 is used as a sintering aid during ceramic sintering. The role of sintering aids is to promote the bonding between ceramic particles and improve the compactness and mechanical strength of ceramic products. Tin Oxide can be added to ceramic materials along with other oxides and reacts at high temperatures to help form a dense ceramic structure.
– Dielectric materials: Tin Dioxide also plays a key role in the preparation of dielectric materials. For example, it can be used to prepare components such as capacitors, dielectric ceramics, and varistors. The high dielectric constant and good insulating properties of SnO2 make it one of the excellent dielectric materials.
