Описание
Ammonium Molybdate has a chemical formula of (NH4)2MoO4 and a molecular weight of 196.01. It usually appears as colorless or light yellow-green monoclinic crystals. It is soluble in water, acids, and bases, but insoluble in alcohol. When heated to 90°C, one crystal of water will missing, and at 190°C, it will decompose into ammonia, water, and molybdenum trioxide. When exposed to air, (NH4)2MoO4 will weather and lose some of the ammonia.
Ammonium Orthomolybdate is an inorganic salt that is stable at room temperature and pressure but needs to refrain from strong light, high temperatures, and open flames. It has good catalytic activity and redox properties. Ammonium Heptamolybdate is widely used in industry, such as as a catalyst raw material for petroleum dehydrogenation and desulfurization, in the production of metal molybdenum, pigments, agricultural trace element fertilizers, and as a reagent for measuring phosphorus.
Ammonium Molybdate mainly serves as a raw material for molybdenum in catalyst and molybdenum production. Molybdenum is an important transition metal widely active in petroleum, pigments, chemicals, fertilizers, and other fields. Therefore, the wide application of Ammonium Phosphomolybdate makes Ammonium Molybdate one of the important catalysts. At the same time, Ammonium Molybdate is also widely active in powder metallurgy companies as a raw material for molybdate.
