Industrial Grade Phosphoric Acid
DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PRODUCTO
Descripción
Industrial-grade phosphoric acid is usually a colorless, transparent, viscous liquid, odorless, very sour, with a melting point of 42.35 degrees Celsius. When heated to 300 degrees Celsius, it becomes metaphosphoric acid with a relative density of 1.834. It is easily soluble in water and ethanol and is hygroscopic. It can irritate the skin and cause inflammation, damage body tissues, and has an erosive effect when heated in porcelain.
Industrial-grade phosphoric acid has a wide range of uses, mainly including the following aspects:
Metal treatment and electroplating: Phosphoric acid can use for metal surface treatment, reacting chemically with the metal surface to form an insoluble phosphate film to protect the metal from corrosion and improve the gloss of the metal surface. Phosphoric acid can also mix nitric acid with a chemical polishing agent to improve the finish of the metal surface.
Cleaners and detergents: Phosphoric acid use for a raw material phosphate ester for the production of detergents and pesticides. These phosphate esters can use for metal cleaners, hard surface cleaners, and pre-wash cleaners.
Food and pharmaceuticals: Phosphoric acid can use for food acidifier, antioxidant and preservative. It is use for the processing of beverages, candies, meat products and other foods to play a role in seasoning, preservation and taste. In the pharmaceutical industry, phosphoric acid can use for prepare phosphorus-containing drugs, such as sodium glycerophosphate.
Agriculture and fertilizers: Phosphoric acid is an important raw material for the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers. For example, it is use for make dihydrogen phosphate fertilizers to provide phosphorus elements for plants and promote plant growth.
Electronics and batteries: Phosphates are widely use for battery manufacturing. For example, iron phosphate use for a positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries. Phosphoric acid can also use for an electrolyte in some batteries, such as lead-acid batteries and nickel-cadmium batteries.
Other uses: Phosphoric acid is also use for a raw material for the production of phosphorus-containing flame retardants, water treatment agents (used to remove heavy metal ions and other harmful substances in water), soil improvement (to improve soil fertility and crop yields), etc.
The above are the main properties and uses of industrial-grade phosphoric acid. It should be noted that when using industrial-grade phosphoric acid, relevant safety regulations should be observed and appropriate protective measures should be taken.
