Description

Zirconium Silicate is a harmless, odorless white powder, insoluble in water, and acid, The formula is ZrSiO4, and CAS Number 10101-52-7.

It’s the making of natural high-purity zircon sand to concentrate through superfine crushing, iron removal, surface modification, and other processes. ZrSiO4 has stable chemical properties. It is a high-quality and cheap ceramic glaze opacifier, whitening agent, anti-seepage agent, and stabilizer.

Zirconium Silicate, as a high-quality and low-cost opacifying agent, is widely active in the production of various ceramics, such as construction, sanitation, daily use, and high-grade ceramics. In the production of ceramic glazes, it has a wide range of applications and a large quantity.
The reason why ZrSiO4 is widely active in ceramic production is also because of its good chemical stability. Therefore, it is not affected by the ceramic firing atmosphere, and can significantly improve the ceramic body-glaze bonding performance and increase the hardness of the ceramic glaze.

ZrSiO4 is also active in the production of color picture tubes in the TV industry, emulsified glass, and enamel glazes.

Zirconium Silicate has a high melting point of 2550 °C. So it is also widely active in refractory materials, zirconium ramming materials for glass furnaces, castables, and spray coatings.

In addition, Zirconium Silicate is also a raw material for special glass and a filler for special rubber-reinforced resins.
