Description

Sodium Acetate is an organic substance, and the Sodium Acetate formula (acetate formula) is CH3COONa. Sodium Acetate Trihydrate is a white crystal with a relative density of 1.45 and a melting point of 58°C. Meanwhile, Sodium Acetate’s molar mass is 82.034.

When weathered in dry air, it loses crystal water at 120°C and decomposes at higher temperatures.  Sodium Acetate Anhydrous is a colorless transparent crystal with a melting point of 324°C. CH3COONa can contribute to buffer, mordant, lead, copper, nickel, iron determination, medium preparation, organic synthesis, film printing, and other fields.

Sodium Acetate Uses:
– In the textile industry, when using aniline, Sodium Acetate serves as a photoresist and can also be suitable to neutralize sulfuric acid exhaust gas.
– Prevents Chloroprene Chlorination in synthetic rubber production.
– Sodium Acetate prevents the generation of static electricity when producing disposable cotton pads.
– Sodium Acetate also serves as an anti-icing substance, replacing chlorides such as calcium chloride and magnesium chloride. It is less erosive and corrosive to soil and is especially suitable for airport runway de-icing, but it is more expensive.
– Sodium Acetate is a commonly used processing aid in the rubber industry, making rubber materials more tough and more ductile. It can also catalyze rubber vulcanization and be suitable for producing rubber waterproof coatings, rubber tubes, rubber sheets, etc.
