Description
Lanthanum Oxide (La2O3) Properties :
La2O3 is an inorganic compound which is a white powder. The Lanthanum Oxide formula is La2O3, with a high melting point of 2315°C.
La2O3 is an oxide of lanthanum (III), slightly soluble in water and easily soluble in acid to form corresponding salts. Dilanthanum Trioxide easily absorbs carbon dioxide and water when exposed to the air, and gradually transforms into lanthanum carbonate. Then Burning Lanthanum Trioxide combines with water to release a lot of heat.
Rare earth La2O3 has a wide range of applications. And it plays a vital role in glass, ceramics, electronics, and other fields.
Dilanthanum Trioxide is mainly active in the manufacture of precision optical glass and optical fiber. In addition, in the electronics industry work for ceramic capacitors and piezoelectric ceramic doping agents. It’s also a raw material for making lanthanum boride and a catalyst for petroleum separation. What’s more, it can manufacture special alloy precision optical glass, high-refraction optical fiberboard, cameras, microscope lenses, advanced optical instrument prism, etc.
At Toplus we offer different rare earth materials for your application and various purity for you to choose from. Toplus has always supplied 99.99% La2O3 for your testing and is always at your service.
Lanthanum oxide is an inorganic compound which is a white powder. Rare earth lanthanum oxide is widely using, especially in glass, ceramics, electronics and other fields.
