Description
Copper Oxide is an inorganic substance. The Copper Oxide formula is CuO. Its melting point is 1446 ℃. And the Copper Oxide color is black. Insoluble in water and ethanol, easily soluble in acid, stable to heat, and decomposes into oxygen at high temperatures. Meanwhile, Cuprous Oxide mainly makes rayon, ceramics, glaze and enamel, batteries, petroleum desulfurizes, and pesticides. And also for hydrogen production, catalysts, glass, etc.
Cupric Oxide Uses:
1. It can be a catalyst for organic synthesis, an analytical reagent (for nitrogen determination), an oxidant, a trigger, and a petroleum desulfurize.
2. Used as a coloring agent in glass, enamel, and ceramic industries, as an anti-wrinkle agent in paint, and as a polishing agent for optical glass and used to manufacture dyes, organic catalyst supports, and copper compounds. Cuprous Oxide can also contribute to the rayon manufacturing industry and as a desulfurized for grease. It can be a raw material for manufacturing other copper salts and making artificial gemstones.
Generally application of Nano-Copper Oxide:
(1) Widely used as an essential inorganic material in catalysis, superconductivity, and ceramics.
(2) Used as a coloring agent for glass and porcelain, as a polishing agent for optical glass, as a catalyst for organic synthesis, as a desulfurizing agent for oils, and as a hydrogenating agent.
(3)Used as catalyst and catalyst carrier and electrode active material.
