Chrome Yellow

Description

Chrome Yellow, also known as Lead Chromate, chemical formula: PbCrO4, is a yellow monoclinic crystal. Soluble in alkali and inorganic acids, insoluble in water and oil.

PbCrO4 has a bright color, high tinting power, and strong hiding power. It finds its use in coatings, especially road marking coatings, inks, plastics, etc.

It can be coated on the surface through a special process and has the characteristics of bright color, good tinting strength, high-temperature resistance, and easy dispersion. Currently, several processing industries regularly use this pigment yellow.

1. PbCrO4 is active in raw material for oily and synthetic resin coatings in the printing, watercolor, and oil painting industries.
2. It also finds its use as a colorant for colored paper, rubber, and plastic products.
3. Plays an important role in the coating, rubber, ceramic, and pigment industries.

Lead Chromate produced according to different production methods can range from the lightest Lemon Yellow, light yellow, medium yellow, and dark yellow to orange.

Medium Pigment Yellow has excellent color bleeding resistance, its brightness is better than dark Chrome Yellow and its dispersion is good. Mainly used as coatings, especially road marking coatings, inks, and plastics.
