Industrial Grade Barium Carbonate

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Description

Barium carbonate is an inorganic compound with the molecular formula BaCO3. IndustrialĀ  is a white powder in the greenhouse, hygroscopic, almost insoluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, soluble in acid and ammonium chloride solution, and highly toxic.

Uses: The uses of barium carbonate in ceramics mainly include the following aspects:

Improving appearance and quality: Adding barium carbonate to ceramics can reduce pores and bubbles, improve translucency, improve appearance and improve product quality.

Improving hardness and wear resistance: Adding powder barium carbonate to the production of structural ceramics can improve the hardness, wear resistance and chemical corrosion of ceramics.

Expanding the sintering range: Adding barium carbonate to ceramic production can expand the sintering range and increase the thermal expansion coefficient.

Improving the baking and abrasion resistance of glaze: Adding BaCO3 to the glaze can improve the baking and abrasion resistance of the glaze, make the color firm and the gloss stable, and enhance the value of the product.

Function: The role of BaCO3 in ceramics is mainly as an additive.which can improve the electrical properties, mechanical properties and appearance properties of ceramics. For example, it can improve the electrical insulation properties of ceramics. However reduce dielectric loss, increase transparency and whiteness, and improve the porcelain shrinkage and deformation rate of the green body.

In the ceramic production process, barium carbonate can be use to remove sulfate from brine to ensure the purity of raw materials, which is crucial for the production of certain special ceramics.

Stabilizing the structure: BaCO3 can stabilize the structure of ceramics, which improve their hardness and heat resistance, and thus produce high-quality ceramic products5.

Removing sulfate: In the ceramic production process, which can be use to remove sulfate from brine to ensure the purity of raw materials. BaCO3 is crucial for the production of certain special ceramics

It should be noted that due to the toxicity of BaCO3, safety operating procedures must be strictly followed during production and use to avoid pollution to the environment.
